I started on this bike many years ago and back then I was going to put a 748 engine in it.

That's why all the body work and gas tank were painted yellow. The frame, wheels, head light bucket and front fairing supports were painted a medium blue with a red pearl in it.

After I filed all the casting marks off of the swing arm and lower triple clamp I had them painted a semi gloss  black

I choose 3 spoke wheels because I wanted that period look of the ninety's.

The front forks are off of a 2001 996 and the front brake rotors are from Discacciati. They are a full floating cast iron rotor.

AND that's where I stopped years ago.

.

These days, I'm thinking  a 996 motor would fit my needs. I still think the 748 motor would work but I like the extra get up and go the 996 gives.

Of course, it's no Panigale R but in the right hands it will still be a lot of fun to ride.

Never mind that it still has the look and sound most people recognize as a DUCATI!
